If you would like to show students lessons or preview the questions in a given topic before sending them off to practice on their own, you can do so from our Assignment Library! To show students lessons and sample questions before an assignment, you can follow these steps:
💡 Teaching remotely? Consider sharing your screen with students to show the Assignment Library for modeling or pre-teaching skills!
- Head to the Assignment Library by selecting Browse & Assign at the top of your screen.
- Use the search bar to locate the topic that corresponds to the example you'd like to use.
- You can also select a specific activity you want to assign and browse through the available topics! Expand the Pathway to see all of the topics within it.
You can then use one of the features available next to topics to begin showing your students lessons and sample questions. Check out the sections below to learn what features are available to help you pre-teach!
View sample lessons
You can select the paper icon next to a topic to view the sample lesson. If you need to see all lessons associated with the topic, you can select View all lessons at the top of the lesson.
These lessons are the same tips that are shown to students when they request a hint during practice or remediation after an assessment!
View interactive lessons
You can select the footprints icon to view an interactive tutorial for this topic. These tutorials are available for many topics in NoRedInk!
💡 You can copy and paste the URL address to share a topic's interactive tutorial with your students.
Preview questions
Select the eyeball icon to preview questions the way students see them during a Practice assignment. Go through these exercises as much as you want! There is a teacher-only Show answer option if you need it.
If you answer enough questions to achieve mastery on any topic in your teacher account, you will be able to reset the Mastery so that you can start again from the same place with your next class. You can only reset mastery completely for yourself if you achieve full mastery!
❗If you do not reset mastery on this page before moving on to the next topic, you'll be unable to go through the same topics again to pre-teach for another class. Make sure to reset mastery before moving on!
Students can also access lessons by navigating to their Learn page. From there, they can access lessons for topics they wish to practice. More information on how students can access Lessons can be found here: How do I practice topics on my own?
