Sync with Clever
To begin syncing classes from Clever, you can follow these steps:
- Sign up or log in to your NoRedInk teacher account.Â
- If you are signing up for a new NoRedInk account, select Sign up with Clever to connect your Clever account after you finish account creation.
- Select the silhouette icon at the top right of your dashboard.Â
- Select Account Settings in the drop-down menu that appears.Â
- Head to the Integrations page of your Account Settings.
- If your NoRedInk account is not connected to Clever, you'll need to connect the two programs first! Select Link with Clever account under Clever to log into your account.
- Once you're logged into your Clever account, you'll toggle the Sync classes option that will appear under your email.Â
âť—You can only sync your classes from one integration at a time! If you start syncing classes from a different integration, your Clever classes will be automatically archived.
Add Students to a Clever-Synced Class
After a teacher connects their NoRedInk and Clever accounts and begins syncing their classes, those Clever-synced classes should automatically populate in NoRedInk. A Clever icon will display next to the name of the class on the teacher dashboard and the Manage Classes page to indicate that it's syncing directly from Clever.
đź’ˇ Since the classes are coming from Clever, no class code or invite link will be generated and students cannot be manually added to the classes.
To join their classes, students must ensure that their NoRedInk accounts are connected to Clever. This allows students to not only use Clever SSO to log into NoRedInk, but they will also automatically join your class as soon as the accounts are connected. On your Manage Classes page, you'll see a banner indicating how many students still need to sign up with NoRedInk or connect their existing NoRedInk accounts to Clever to join their class. You'll also be able to see the names of the students waiting to join at the bottom of the page.
