How to Roster Classes and Students with ClassLink

💡 Since classes are syncing with ClassLink, no class code or invite link will be generated, and students cannot be manually added to the classes.

Sync with ClassLink

To begin syncing with ClassLink, your school's admin must first set up the integration with our team! Once that setup is complete, it's time to roster your classes! To begin syncing classes from ClassLink, you can follow these steps:

1. Sign up or log in to your NoRedInk teacher account. 
   • If you are signing up for a new NoRedInk account, select Sign up with ClassLink to connect your ClassLink account after you finish account creation.
2. Select the silhouette icon at the top right of your dashboard. 
3. Select Account Settings in the drop-down menu that appears. 

4. Head to the Integrations page of your Account Settings.
5. If your NoRedInk account is not connected to ClassLink, you'll need to connect the two programs first! Select Link with ClassLink account under the ClassLink section to log into your account.

6. Once you're logged into your Clever account, you'll toggle the Sync classes option that will appear under your email. 

❗You can only sync your classes from one integration at a time! If you start syncing classes from a different integration, your ClassLink classes will be automatically archived.

Add Students to a ClassLink-Synced Class

After a teacher connects their NoRedInk and ClassLink accounts and begins syncing their classes, those ClassLink-synced classes should automatically populate in NoRedInk. A ClassLink icon will display next to the name of the class on the teacher dashboard and the Manage Classes page to indicate that it's syncing directly from ClassLink.

💡 Since the classes are coming from ClassLink, no class code or invite link will be generated and students cannot be manually added to the classes.

To join their classes, students must ensure that their NoRedInk accounts are connected to ClassLink. This allows students to not only use ClassLink SSO to log into NoRedInk, but they will also automatically join your class as soon as the accounts are connected. You can provide the following article to your students to help them join your class: Join a ClassLink-Synced Class. 

On your Manage Classes page, you'll see a banner indicating how many students still need to sign up with NoRedInk or connect their existing NoRedInk accounts to ClassLink to join their class. You'll also be able to see the names of the students waiting to join at the bottom of the page.
