NoRedInk has security requirements in place to protect teacher and student accounts. These requirements apply when creating an account, choosing a new password, or resetting a student’s password.
Passwords must be:
- At least 8 characters in length
- Not part of a list of easily guessed passwords
If you attempt to login with a previously set insecure password, you will be prompted to update it.
As an alternative to creating a username and password, we recommend using one of our Single Sign-On options, such as Google, so students don’t have to remember an additional password to log in to NoRedInk. Students can learn more about using Google SSO by checking out our article on how to link their NoRedInk accounts with Google.
What happens if I experience an error?
If you encounter the following error, "The password you entered is too easily guessed. Try to add additional words or numbers," you will need to make your password more complex by adding additional words, characters, or numbers.

What should I do if my classes are rostered through Clever?
