Now that you've assigned a Unit Diagnostic, let's take a look at what students experience while completing the assessment!
What do students see during a Unit Diagnostic?
As students work through the diagnostic, they may encounter a variety of question types. For example, some might involve clicking, highlighting, drag-and-drop, or typing. As needed, students may also come across a short tutorial explaining how to answer upcoming questions. Students do not have the option to skip questions during Unit Diagnostics.
NoRedInk automatically saves student progress on Unit Diagnostics as students work. Once a student submits an answer, the answer is saved before they see the next question. Submitted answers are also scored right away and students can see the number of questions remaining in the upper right corner. All answers submitted are final and students cannot go back to their answers to review or change them.Ā Ā
Completing the assignment and optional remediation
Once a student has completed the diagnostic, they will see the number of questions they got correct and their final score.
They will also have the chance to complete an optional remediation exercise by selecting Okay, Iām ready! This exercise asks students to try again on the questions they answered incorrectly, ensuring that students don't walk away from the test with any misconceptions.Ā
š” A student's original score on the assessment does not change from their remediation results. You can learn more about remediation here!
