Now that you've assigned a Planning Diagnostic, let's take a look at what students experience while completing the assessment!
What do students see during a Planning Diagnostic?
When starting a Planning Diagnostic, students will first see directions that give them an overview of the assignment. They’ll select Let’s Go! to begin their assignment. Students may encounter a variety of question types. For example, some might involve clicking, highlighting, drag-and-drop, or typing.
As students progress through a series of questions to assess their skill level on the assigned topics, these questions will adapt in difficulty based on the students' previous answers. Students can skip any questions by selecting I don't know if they are feeling stuck during the assessment.
Completing the assignment
NoRedInk automatically saves student progress on Planning Diagnostics as students work. Once a student submits an answer, the answer is saved before they see the next question.
Submitted answers are also scored right away, and students can see the number of questions remaining in the upper right corner. All answers submitted are final and students cannot go back to their answers to review or change them.
Reviewing their results
Students will be able to view their results and see their proficiency levels for each Pathway immediately after completing their Planning Diagnostic.
Students can also see the results of their completed assignments by selecting Past Work at the top of the page while logged in to NoRedInk.
Students have the option to view the summary of their diagnostic score again or select View Answers to see their responses compared to the correct answers. Check out this article to learn how students view their results!
