An assignment's start date and due date settings control when students have access to complete the assignment. On your My Assignments page, you can view a list of your in-progress, upcoming, and past-due assignments. The date listed on the left of the assignment's name is the due date.
To edit the assignment's start and due date, you can follow these steps:
- First, select the Edit (pencil) icon next to the assignment you wish to edit.
- For Quick Writes, Guided Essay, or Guided Short Response assignments, select the Continue button that appears on the next screen to proceed with adjusting your start date or due date. If necessary, you can also make changes to your writing prompt or rubric from this page.
- On the next screen, you can edit the start and due date/time by either typing in the new date or selecting the calendar icon to select the date. Students won't see the assignment on their home page until the start date and time have passed.
If Allow late submissions is checked off, your students will be able to submit work after the due date as a late assignment. You can always uncheck this option if you do not want to allow late submissions.
- When you are finished editing, select Save changes.
💡 If you've created an assignment for multiple classes, you'll need to edit these changes for each class in NoRedInk.
