While completing a Practice assignment, you will come across several features in the assignment to help you track your progress. You can check out each section below to learn how to understand the symbols in your Practice assignment.
Understanding progress during the assignment
- The stars at the top right of the assignment represent progress toward mastery of the topic. In the example above, the student has mastered 1 level, represented by 1 star filled in.
- They'll have to answer 8 more questions correctly to fill up the bar below and complete mastery. Once mastery is reached, a green checkmark will appear.
- The number below the stars shows how many questions were answered.
- The colored bar at the top of the Practice assignment shows you how many questions you need to get right to master that level of the topic. When you answer questions correctly, you'll move up through four levels to mastery.
Getting a question wrong
- When you get a question wrong, your score does not go down. Instead, you'll enter a "frozen" mode. Once you answer two questions correctly in a row, you'll be able to return to normal Practice.
- If you get a question wrong, the "Show Hint" option appears. By selecting this option, you can review the topic's lesson before trying to answer the next question.
View mastery level per topic
In a Practice assignment or learning pathway, you will be able to see your mastery level on each topic. The goal is to achieve a mastery score of 100 on each topic and see a green circle with a checkmark!
