NoRedInk allows you to select multiple subject areas within your account settings. This ensures that your profile accurately reflects your teaching load and gives you access to the correct Benchmarks.
Why should I select multiple subject areas?
By selecting all relevant subject areas, you ensure that:
- Benchmarks: You can see and assign school- or district-wide Benchmarks targeted at those specific subjects.
- Accuracy: Your teacher profile correctly represents your role within your school or district.
How to update subject areas:
You can update your subjects at any time by following these steps:
- Select the silhouette in the top-right corner of your dashboard.
- Select Account Settings from the dropdown menu.
- Ensure you are on the Personal Info tab.
- Locate the section labeled "What do you teach most often?
- Check the boxes for all subject areas that apply to your current classes.
- Select Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
Problem-Solving Steps
🛠 If your administrator assigned a Benchmark to a specific subject (e.g., "Social Studies") and it isn't appearing for you, try the following:
- Check your settings: Use the steps above to confirm that "Social Studies" is selected in your Personal Info.
- Refresh your session: Once you've updated your subject areas, log out of NoRedInk and log back in.
- Wait for Sync: If you just updated your subjects, wait a minute and refresh your dashboard.
