If a student has no assignments from his or her teacher, NoRedInk will show students a recommended mastered topic for which they can complete a Mastery Review. Students are not required to re-master any of these topics and there is no penalty if they decide not to use the Review feature. Mastery Review simply gives students suggestions in case they need guidance on what to work on independently!
💡 Topics recommended here are topics that the student mastered two weeks ago or earlier. Students will see their oldest mastered topic first to help promote retention!
When students select the topic, they will be prompted to re-master a topic to show that they still understand the topic. Starting a Review without completing it will show the associated topic as no longer mastered. If you do not re-master the topic, you'll drop down a mastery level.
After completing the Mastery Review of a topic, students will be shown another mastered topic from the same period of time. If a student hasn't mastered any topics in the past, they will not see any Mastery Review recommendations on their dashboard.
