As students work on their Practice assignment, their assignment pathway will update, and the same progress will be reflected on your results page so that you can keep track of their progress as they work! To view the results from a Practice assignment and track your students’ progress, follow these steps:
-
Head to your My Assignments page.
-
Next to the Practice assignment, select the graph icon to view the results. You can also select the assignment’s name from the Student Data Mastery tab to view the results.
- A blank circle means that the student has not started working on that topic.
- A mastered topic will have a green checkmark.
-
Hover over a mastery level icon to see how many questions the student answered in that topic and their current mastery percentage.
While reviewing your students' progress, additional information becomes visible when you hover over the progress circles.
- If you see that a student has completed a Refresher Quiz during the assignment, this means that NoRedInk detected that the student was assigned topics they've already mastered. This quiz allows students to earn credit for topics they already know well. You can check out this article to learn more about Refresher Quizzes!
- If you see that a student is marked as stuck, this icon helps you identify when students could be struggling so that you can provide them with more direct support. You can read this article for more information and some tips on how to help stuck students!
- If you see that a student has mastered a topic through a Checkpoint, this means a Checkpoint topic was assigned with the work, granting students the option to place out of topics by answering more challenging questions to prove mastery. You learn more about Checkpoints here!
💡 Curious to see how individual students answered their questions during their Practice? You’ll need to log into your student’s account and have the student follow these instructions to review their answers.
You can also find students' scores for Practice assignments in the Grades tab of the gradebook. Just like on the results page, their score adjusts to represent the percentage of topics they are mastering.
- A score of 100 indicates all topics have been mastered and the assignment has been completed.
- For example, a score of 65% would mean that the student has completed 65% of the assignment
- A score of 0 is automatically assigned if a student hasn't started the assignment by the due date.
- A clock icon appears for late submissions, showing how long past the due date it was completed when you hover over it.
💡 Keep in mind that these scores can fluctuate since students can continue working on assignments until the due date or even after the due date if late work is allowed.
