NoRedInk helps students practice and apply writing and grammar skills through a variety of interactive activities! NoRedInk's Grammar & Conventions activities have students work with engaging and often humorous sentences that incorporate their favorite characters, musicians, athletes, books, movies, sports teams, and celebrities.
NoRedInk's Writing & Revising activities allow students to hone various skills to become stronger, more confident writers. These activities range from targeted practice where students can work on specific topics, such as crafting a thesis, to full essay writing using activities such as Guided Essays and Self Review.
NoRedInk provides adaptive, differentiated instruction. This means that the site adjusts questions in real-time based on your child's needs. When learners get stuck, NoRedInk shows them tutorials that help them correct mistakes and keep going.
If your child is using the program through school, your child’s teacher will be able to monitor progress on homework, quizzes, and practice exercises. NoRedInk covers a variety of topics, ranging from Grammar & Conventions staples such as punctuation and commonly confused words, to Writing essentials such as topic sentences and embedding evidence. Many of these topics are assessed as part of state and national standards. NoRedInk helps teachers make adjustments to their instruction to make sure your child is prepared.
If you’d like to track your child’s progress, you can see his/her scores on different assignments by asking your student to navigate to his or her Past Work page. This page shows each assignment your child's teacher has created and how your child performed.
Students can also take charge of their own learning using the color-coded Learn page. This page shows students how close they are to mastering each topic on the site, and students can practice on their own on this page.
