NoRedInk Writing Benchmarks are administrator-created writing assignments designed to make it simple to measure and support student growth.
Writing Benchmarks provide an easy-to-implement, customizable assessment experience that helps schools:
- Track student progress against internal goals and state standards.
- Highlight areas for timely intervention.
- Facilitate real-time curriculum adjustments.
- Expedite remediation with a single platform for both benchmarking and intervention.
Armed with this knowledge, you can iterate on the best guidance, practice, and teaching styles to accommodate the student's needs.
💡 Admins have the capability to rename the term "benchmark." Your school-assigned diagnostic may be called a different name.
Assigning a Writing Benchmark
When your admin has created a Benchmark, you'll see a banner at the top of your Dashboard notifying you that the Benchmark has been assigned to the grade you teach. This will also be visible at the top of your Assignment Library. You can learn more by checking out our article on how to assign a Writing Benchmark!
