The NoRedInk Premium Report serves as an administrator's go-to resource for monitoring implementation and effectiveness across your organization. This provides admins with insights into how the platform is utilized by providing data on activation, usage, and standards alignment at the school or district level. Any user with administrator privileges can access the Premium Report at any time through Admin Tools.Β
Accessing your Premium Report
To access your school's Premium Report, you can follow these steps!
- Select Admin Tools at the top of your dashboard.
- Select Usage and Mastery from the menu on the left.
- Under the school or district you'd like to view, select View full school report or View full district report.
Premium Report: Activation Data
The Activation tab provides visibility into user engagement with NoRedInk across your organization. This report helps you track both teacher and student account activation and identify areas where additional implementation support might be needed. Within the Activation tab, you'll find the following data available:
- Teacher activation metrics: Displays the number of teachers with at least one active class
- Activation percentage: Calculates the proportion of potential teachers and students who have started using NoRedInk
- License utilization:Β Displays the number of students successfully enrolled in a class this school year
- Activated students: Displays the number of students who engaged in one or more activities this school year
π‘ Select the drop-down next to a teacher's name to see a breakdown by grade level!
The tab features color-coded symbols that provide a visual overview of activation status across your schools.Β As a general guide, most schools and districts aim for at least 65% of teachers and students activated within the first three months of either a new school year or initial implementation.Β
π‘ You can also change the view of any of your reports to either by teacher or grade level by selecting the View report by option!
The Activation tab also tracks teacher engagement with NoRedInk's self-guided training resources, giving you visibility into who is investing time in learning the platform. You can use this column to recognize teachers who have shown initiative in learning NoRedInk or confirm the completion of any recommended training activities you've given!Β
β If a teacher is missing from the list or has fewer students activated than expected, that teacher may benefit from additional account setup or implementation support.
Premium Report: Usage Data
The Usage tab provides valuable insights into how teachers are utilizing NoRedInk throughout the school year. This report displays the following key metrics:
- Practice topics assigned
- Quick Writes completed
- Guided Essays or Short Responses assigned
These metrics can be measured against expected benchmarks for the current point in the school year, helping you identify which teachers are meeting usage expectations.
Practice and Assessment section
In the Practice & Assessment section, you'll find data showing:
- Average number of topics students have mastered
- Total questions answered by students this academic year
We recommend students master approximately one topic per week throughout the school year. Progress toward this goal can be tracked using the color-coded icons next to each teacher's name.
π Purple, orange, and green icons provide at-a-glance status of how each teacher's class is progressing toward weekly mastery goals!
Writing and Revising section
The Writing & Revising section of the Usage tab displays the average number of writing assignments submitted per student across your department or school. This metric helps you understand how actively students are practicing their writing skills. To support meaningful growth, we recommend:
- Quick Writes: 1-5 assignments per week
- Guided Essays: 1-2 assignments per quarter
You can also view Premium Reports from previous academic years by using the school year drop-down menu in the Usage tab. This allows you to see year-over-year trends and understand how the implementation of NoRedInk is evolving at your school or district.
Premium Report: Skills Data
The Skills tab provides a comprehensive overview of student mastery progress across different writing and grammar concepts. This tab helps you ensure students are developing appropriate skills at the right time. You can filter the Skills tab using several alignment options:
- Your state's academic standards
- National tests like the ACT
- Grade-level bands (available for certain states)
These filters generate a color-coded visualization of the pathways teachers have assigned, making it easy to identify areas of focus and potential gaps.Β For leadership teams, this tab serves as a valuable tool to monitor vertical alignment across grade levels and identify instructional gaps in your writing curriculum.
