In preparation for the 2022-2023 school year, we have updated the Premium status of several topics. Here are the topics that are newly available to free accounts, as well as suggested free alternatives for topics that have now become Premium.

Will this impact assignments containing these topics?

If your school or district has purchased Premium, this will not impact your assignments.

If you have any assignments created prior to August 3rd with any of the now-Premium topics, your students will not be able to complete these assignments.

• Students will see "X amount of topics left" on the assignment on their Dashboard, but will be unable to view these topics.

You will need to recreate the assignment, remove the Premium topics, which will be marked with a Premium flag, and reassign it to your students. You can follow these steps to copy the assignment and reassign it:

1. On your Dashboard, click "View Assignments" next to your class name, or click "My Assignments" at the top of the screen.
2. Rename the original assignment so that you know it's the one that will need to be deleted.
3. Click the ellipsis button next to your assignment name, then click"Make a copy."

4. On the copy, make the adjustments you need.​
5. Scroll down, name the copy that you want students to see, and click "Assign."
6. Delete the old assignment by clicking the ellipsis icon to the right of the assignment, then click "Delete assignment."

If some students had already completed the assignment prior to August 3rd, we recommend keeping the original assignment and assigning the new copy to the students who have yet to finish. This will prevent those students from having to redo the assignment.
