Student sign up: Clever, Canvas, and Schoology

This article is for students that use Clever, Canvas, or Schoology to access classroom apps and have never used NoRedInk before. Follow the instructions below to learn how to set up a new NoRedInk account that is connected to the correct portal.

Signing up with Clever

1. Log in to your school or district's Clever Portal and select the NoRedInk app icon.

2. Follow the steps on NoRedInk's welcome screen and set up your new account.
3. Once your account has been created, you'll be sent to your home page, where any assigned work for your classes will appear.

Signing up with Canvas

Unless your teacher tells you otherwise, you should always open your NoRedInk assignments from inside Canvas.

1. Log in to your school or district's Canvas Portal.
2. In the Navigation menu in Canvas, select "Course" and select a specific course or "All Courses."
3. Select the "Assignments" link to view all your assignments.

4. Since this is the first time being assigned a NoRedInk assignment by your teacher, opening your first assignment will automatically enroll you in your teacher's NoRedInk class once your account has been created.
5. Follow the steps on NoRedInk's welcome screen and set up your new account.

Signing up with Schoology

Unless your teacher tells you otherwise, you should always open your NoRedInk assignments from inside Schoology.

1. Log in to your school or district's Schoology Portal.
2. You can view your assignments in the Upcoming section of the dashboard. You can view assignments for a specific course by selecting "Courses" and selecting a specific course.

3. Select the "Assignments" link to view all your assignments.  
4. Select an assignment to open it. Your NoRedInk assignment will open inside Schoology and you will need to complete it directly in Schoology.

5. Since this is the first time being assigned a NoRedInk assignment by your teacher, opening your  first assignment will automatically enroll you in your teacher's NoRedInk class once your account has been created.
6. Follow the steps on NoRedInk's welcome screen to set up your new account.
