Overview
The following help document will provide directions on setting up the Canvas integration with NoRedInk. Unless stated otherwise, we assume you are logged in to Canvas with the proper permissions to complete the steps below. The integration with Canvas requires the district/school to have an active premium subscription with NoRedInk.
If you have any questions, you can reach out to support@noredink.com and we will be happy to assist you further or if you have an existing ticket you can reply to that ticket.
How to set up the Canvas integration
- If you have not yet created a support ticket with NoRedInk you can do so by e-mailing support@noredink.com
- Log into Canvas and Click on Admin
- Depending on how the Canvas is configured, you may see multiple schools or a single district entry:
- If you want to install NoRedInk for a particular school then you would click on the school name
- If you want to install NoRedInk for the district then you would click on the district name
- Click on Developer Keys
- Click on Inherited
- Click on Show All Keys and search for NoRedInk
- Click on the “ON” button for both NoRedInk applications and accept the popup window asking “Are you sure you want to change the state of the developer key?”
- Verify that the “ON” button is now showing as Green, and if it is not, click the “ON” button
- Copy the numeric value found under the Details column for NoRedInk LTI
- Click on Settings (located on the left sidebar)
- Click on Apps
- Click on View App Configurations
- Click on + App
- In the Configuration Box that appears, you will select the Configuration Type of By Client ID and paste the value you copied from Step 8
- Click Submit
- Click Install
- Please notify the Integrations Specialist through the Zendesk ticket that you have completed these steps. If you do not have an active support ticket you can create one by sending an e-mail to support@noredink.com
