Creating a NoRedInk Assignment in Canvas

In order to create a NoRedInk Assignment in Canvas, the integration must be added as an external tool in Canvas.  This is accomplished through the Canvas administrator working with NoRedInk.  If you do not see NoRedInk as an option then you will want to reach out to the Canvas administrator for your school or district and ask that they set up the integration.  Please have them e-mail [e-mail] and we will be happy to work with them on this configuration.

Creating an Assignment in Canvas:

The steps listed below will be accomplished within Canvas unless noted otherwise.

1. Click on Courses
2. Click on Assignments
3. Click on + Assignment
4. In the Submission Type box select External Tool from the drop-down menu
5. Click on Find
6. Scroll through the list provided and select NoRedInk
   • We recommend selecting the "Load in a new tab" option so the assignment will load in a new tab for the student without taking them away from the assignment page
7. Create an assignment with the window as you normally would within NoRedInk
