NoRedInk’s Premium Training page offers three different programs for teachers and administrators looking to learn more about NoRedInk while earning certification hours. 

What Certifications are available through NoRedInk?

Choose from three different pathways: Activity All Star, Innovative Educator, or Certified Administrator. Each certification pathway comes with a badge to share in your email signature and on social media, as well as a certificate for the PD hours spent completing the certification. 

Activity All Star

Activity All Stars are teachers who drive student learning by using NoRedInk activities to develop key grammar and writing skills. To unlock the All Star badge and receive a 1-hour PD Certificate, you’ll learn about three NoRedInk Activities, choose one to implement in your classroom, and reflect on how it went. 

Innovative Educator

Innovative Educators are teachers who demonstrate next-level writing instruction by supporting students through multiple NoRedInk activities while incorporating instructional best practices. To unlock the Innovative Educator badge and receive a 2-hour PD certificate, you’ll learn about three applications of NoRedInk activities, choose one to implement in your classroom, and reflect on the process of supporting students through it.

Certified Administrator

NoRedInk Certified Administrators are coaches or building leaders who are looking for ways to best support teachers in getting the most out of NoRedInk. In this certification, administrators will learn about the data and tools they have to track usage, as well as NoRedInk best practices for achieving writing and literacy goals. After conducting a classroom observation or collaborative conversation, administrators will reflect on the results and plan next steps.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are certification programs available to non-Premium teachers?

No, certification programs are only available to teachers with access to NoRedInk Premium.

How long does the entire process take?

Each certification includes opportunities to learn and apply new knowledge in the classroom. Completion time varies by certification type and teaching context. Once teachers submit their work, a member from NoRedInk’s Team will review it within four weeks. 

How long does the certification badge last?

Your certification badge will remain valid for the current school year upon completion of the program. In subsequent years, you’ll be able to maintain your certification through a brief re-certification process. We won’t ask you to repeat the entire Certified Educator Program annually.
