Overview
This article is for students that use Clever to access classroom apps. Follow instructions below to learn how to either set up a brand new NoRedInk account that is connected with Clever or how to connect your existing NoRedInk with Clever.
You won't be able to transfer data or merge two NoRedInk accounts. If you want to keep using your existing NoRedInk account with Clever, be sure to read the relevant steps below to learn how to connect your existing account with Clever and avoid a duplicate account from being created.
Setting up with Clever - I don’t have a NoRedInk account
- Log in to your school or district’s Clever Portal and click the NoRedInk app icon

- Follow the steps on NoRedInk's welcome screen and set up your new NoRedInk account.
New students will see the following welcome page where they'll be prompted to select their NoRedInk Interests. Once students complete this step of account set up, they'll be redirected to their home page where any assigned work for their classes will appear.
Setting up with Clever - I already use NoRedInk

My existing NoRedInk account uses the same email address as my Clever account
This is likely your district/school email address. If you're not sure which email you're already using for NoRedInk, ask your teacher to check on their "Manage Classes" page or print login cards.
- Log in to your school or district’s Clever Portal and click the NoRedInk app icon

- Clever should recognize that you already have a NoRedInk account that uses the same email address. Your account will automatically become linked with Clever.
- You can confirm that your account is associated with your Clever account by checking your Account Settings page in NoRedInk.
My existing NoRedInk account uses a different email address from my Clever account
Clever will not recognize that you already have a NoRedInk account if it uses a different email address or username from your Clever account. In this case, instead of starting from the Clever portal, you can enable Clever SSO and Clever Sync Secure by linking the accounts from your NoRedInk Account Settings page. Once the accounts are connected, you'll be able to use Clever SSO to log in.
- Log in to your existing NoRedInk account.
- Click on your name in the top right corner and choose “Settings”
- From your Account Settings page, click on the “Link with Clever account” option. You’ll be redirected to the Clever portal.
- Log in using your Clever username and password.
- Once this is complete, go to your Clever home page and find the NoRedInk icon. Click on the app icon
. After this initial log in, your existing NoRedInk account will be linked with Clever.
After you connect your account with Clever, you will be automatically enrolled in your correct Clever-synced courses.There is no need to join Clever-synced courses using a class code or invite link. You'll still be able to join regular NoRedInk classes using a class code or invite link if your other courses are not using Clever.
