An assignment's start date and due date settings control when students have access to complete the assignment.
From the top of your teacher dashboard, click My Assignments to view a list of your in progress, upcoming, and past due assignments. The date listed on the left of your assignment's name is the due date:
Editing the date and time an assignment starts and is due
- First, click the "Edit" (pencil) icon next to the assignment's name.
- From here, you can edit the start date/time. Students won't see the assignment on their home page until the start date and time have passed. You can also edit the due date/time.
Note: When "Allow late submissions" is checked off, your students will be able to submit work after the due date as a late assignment. You can always uncheck this option if you do not want to allow late submissions.
- When you are finished, click "Save changes".
Note: If you've created an assignment for multiple classes, you'll need to edit these changes for each class in NoRedInk.
For Guided Draft assignments, clicking "Edit" will allow you to edit your prompt, passage(s), and essay components. Clicking "Continue" at the bottom of the page will take you to step 2 of the assignment form, where you can edit your start and due dates as shown above.
