Understand progress during the assignment

1. The colored bar at the top of Practice shows you how many questions you need to get right to master the topic. When you answer questions correctly, you'll move up through four levels to mastery.
2. In the example above, the student has already mastered two levels, represented by the colored stars. They'll have to answer six more questions correctly to fill up the practice bar and complete the final level, after which they'll receive a green checkmark for the topic mastered. The number in the top right shows how many questions you have already answered.
Getting a question wrong

1. When you get a question wrong, your score does not go down. Instead, you'll enter a "frozen" mode. Once you answer two questions correctly in a row, you'll be able to return to normal Practice.
In the example above, the student got a question wrong, which put them into frozen mode. The student then got one question correct while frozen. If the student gets one more question correct, they will return to normal Practice.
2. If you get a question wrong, the "Show Hint" option appears. By clicking this option, you can review the topic's lesson before trying to answer the next question.
View mastery level per topic
In a Practice assignment or learning pathway, you will be able to see your mastery level on each topic. The goal for students is to achieve a mastery score of 100 on each topic and see a green circle with a checkmark!
In the example above, the student has mastered "What Does the Adjective the Adjective Describe?"
