If you are a teacher
💡Trying to invite or add new students to your class? Here are step-by-step instructions you can follow, or watch this video!
- On your dashboard, find the class and click "Add students" or the settings gear icon.
- You will see a class code that you can copy and paste or provide verbally to your students. You can also tell them to use the Invitation Link one time to join your class. After students join a class, they don't need the invitation link anymore; they just need to go to www.noredink.com. For more information on how to add students to your class, click here. To learn how your students need to use this class code, click here.
- You can also see the class code quickly any time from the "Manage Classes" link on your homepage or in the menu in the upper-right when you click your name.
If you are a teacher but you don't see an option to add students or can't find the class code using the instructions above
If you don't see a class code but you definitely have a teacher account, your district might be using a login service called Clever, which is usually connected to your school portal. Clever automatically synchronizes your classes and rosters. Your Clever-synced classes will show a "Clever Secure Sync" icon:
In this case, you won't have a class code. Instead, your students join your class automatically by logging in through Clever or your school's portal. Here are step-by-step instructions for logging in through Clever.
Teachers at districts using Clever must log in through Clever in order for classes and rosters to sync properly.
If you are a student in a teacher's class
Your teacher will give you a class code to use. If your teacher is unavailable and you need your code quickly, you may be able to get your code from a classmate; everyone in the same class has the same class code. To learn how to join a class as a student, click here.
If you are a student using the site without a teacher
You do not need to enter a class code. You can click "Practice" to do unlimited practice on any topic you want. Joining a class just lets your teacher give you assignments and quizzes and track your progress.
