NoRedInk's assignment form allows you to quickly target assignments to the students who would most benefit from additional practice. In this article, you'll learn how to view student mastery levels and differentiate assignments based on their performance!
How do I view student levels when creating an assignment?
To view student mastery levels while creating an assignment, you can follow these steps:
- From the Assignment Library, select the type of assignment you'd like to create.
- When you reach the Assigning step of creating an assignment, you'll expand the class list by selecting Choose students.
💡 You can select Mastery or Performance at the top of the list to sort based on students' mastery or performance level depending on the assignment type!
You'll use the color-coded Mastery and Performance levels to select the students who should be assigned the work!
What are the Mastery/Performance levels based on?
Practice, Quiz, or Diagnostic
When you create a Practice, Quiz, or Diagnostic, you'll see students' overall Mastery data. The Mastery levels are:
- Not Started
- Beginning
- Intermediate
- Approaching
- Mastered
Growth Quiz or Practice assignment created as part of a Unit
When you create a Growth Quiz or assignment created as part of a Unit, you'll see the students' performance on the original Quiz or original Unit Diagnostic on which your Growth Quiz or Practice is based. The Performance levels are:
- Below Basic
- Basic
- Proficient
- Advanced
