Writing Cycles have four steps. Steps occur in the following order:
- Write. Students create a first draft.
- Practice. Students practice topics related to the writing skills they are developing.
- Rate. Students review each others’ work anonymously and provide structured feedback for one another.
- Revise. Students rate their own drafts, review feedback from peers, and make revisions.
TIP: If a teacher prefers that students practice topics before writing, he or she can assign Isolated Practice rather than complete writing cycle assignments.
COMING SOON! Students will be able to revise their most recent drafts at any time!
