NoRedInk's Writing Cycles include 4 steps: writing, practicing, rating, and revising. The duration of your Writing Cycle will depend on the criteria you select. NoRedInk will provide a time estimate for you as you create a Writing Cycle:
The greatest variance in duration occurs during the practice step. The criteria you select will dictate how many topics students need to master.
For any topics linked to your selected criteria, students will work toward a mastery score of 100. Questions will adapt over time, getting harder as students answer questions correctly and easier when students make errors. Ultimately, there is no precise number of questions or amount of time it takes to master a single topic, but you can generally expect each to take about 5-10 minutes.
In addition to the practice step, you can expect the additional three steps (writing, rating, and revising) to together take about 60 minutes.
